The music of McInnis' Kitchen

McInnis' Kitchen features four talented musicians who are internationally respected for their vast musical experience. This exciting mix brings together the influences of each member's individual cultural upbringing to provide a unique and dynamic performance experience for their audiences.

Their music is a mix of traditional dance tunes and folk songs that are Irish, Scottish, and French-Canadian in origin and are influenced by regions like Newfoundland, Cape Breton and New England, giving them a decided East Coast feel to their vibrant performances.

The sound is energetic, rhythmic and is the synergy of combining Newfoundland or Cape Breton "kitchen music," an Irish ceilidh, or a New England contra dance. The high-energy instrumental drive provided by double-fiddles gives a real toe-tapping rhythm to their sound.
