Chuck has deep roots in Gaelic music and was influenced by his great-uncle who was a fiddler from County Donegal in Ireland, who later immigrated to Newfoundland and Cape Breton. The Donegal fiddle heritage is evident in Chuck's own fiddling, and it also expresses a foundation in a handed-down Cape Breton fiddle style as well.
Chuck has also collaborated with other talented performers in both America and in Canada and is known for his performances in a traditional Donegal double-fiddle style. While he is most often recognized for his work on fiddle, he also performs on Irish button accordion as well. |
